These tacos were absolutely amazing. Hand made corn tortillas, the adobada meat was INSANE

Hands down my favorite tacos ever! Every time I come to NYC this is a must visit (ate their 3 times during my last trip, yup they're that good!).
My go to are the Adobada tacos, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The tortillas are hand made, their meat is always fresh and super flavorful, and their salsas compliment the meat so well! The red salsa is a tad spicy so I would ask for it on the side if you can't handle the heat ;-)
They have other locations around the city so I highly recommend stopping by one of them!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 2, 2019
Are you in Chelsea?
Shopping in Chelsea Market?
Find your way to this Taco joint to get your taste buds blown away !!
P.S. it's not a sit down place. More like a take away place.
Went out with 2 friends and tried pretty much every taco on the menu.
Pay first, then walk over to the service area where you get to choose between Corn or Flour Tortilla. You can choose toppings - Onion, cilantro, gauc and salsa.
I chose Flour tortilla with all toppings and it was a great decision.
My personal favorite was Pollo Asada.
The chicken was (what seems to be) well marinated before cooked and was lushious. I regretted not taking one more. I also got the Guacamole with Chips and the guac felt freshly made and was absolutely delicious.
My friends tried Carne Asada and Adobada which is definitely worth a try.
Next time I am in the area, this one is on the top of my list..Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alin C.Paramus, NJ394158358Sep 16, 2021
There isn't a time where there is no line at Los Tacos No.1. They're No.1 for a reason.
If I have time, I try to snag a little snack before heading back home. I'm a huge fan of tacos and these do not disappoint. Flavorful adobaba served on a soft, warm corn tortilla topped with cilantro, guacamole sauce and sweet pineapple pieces. You wouldn't except it but these tacos hit you with heat. Make sure to have their signature drinks, you're going to need it!
Tips:
- This isn't your typical sit down restaurant. There's only tables for standing room so grab your favorite taco (or tacos), no one is judging.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Natalia W.New York, NY2825Jul 29, 2021
I am such a taco aficionado. I dream about tacos even if I eat tacos the day before. Although this place has the longest line in Chelsea Market (for a very valid reason!), the line moves super fast and the workers are very efficient. You won't wait for longer than 15 minutes maximum even if the line shoots through the roof.
We ordered 3 tacos (Carne Asada (10/10)-literally juicy chunky pieces of steak!!!!, Pollo Asado (9.5/10), and Adobada (9.9/10) and 1 quesadilla (Carne Asada (9/10)). I personally loved the carne asada tacos more than the quesadilla because I realized that the quesadilla was just a larger version of the taco but with cheese on it. But because the size was larger for the quesadilla, it was just messier to eat. I recommend you grab lots of napkins regardless because everything will be spilling out anyways! And even though it may further increase spillage, make sure you put all the toppings on it before you leave the counter! You won't regret it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stephanie C.Brooklyn, NY15673401Dec 13, 2020
This place literally never disappoints. My favorite place to get tacos in NYC, without a doubt.
I suggest to try one of everything and to get some quesadillas in the mix too. This place is known for their tacos, but the quesadillas are perfect cheesy goodness. My favorite is an adobada (pork) quesadilla on a flour tortilla con todo. The food here is so satisfying and flavorful.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 24, 2019
My sister lives in New York and I've been seeing this place all over the Internet, so the minute I landed in LGA, I demanded we go there, and I am so glad we did.
This place is located inside of Chelsea Market right next to a tea/herbal store. The menu is limited to Tacos/Quesadillas and a few sides, so don't expect a full course. It was a Saturday afternoon, and when we walked in, we started seeing a long queue going all the way towards the entrance, it was not until we got to Los Tacos that we realized the queue was for it. I live in Chicago, and I am not really used to this, but apparently this is the norm in New York, so I sucked it up and stood in line. I can honestly say this is the FASTEST service I have ever experienced. Yes the queue was basically wrapped around the market, but we were at the register in less than 10 minutes.
We ordered the Carne Asada Tacos and the Pollo Asada Quesadillas and everything was absolutely delicious and mouthwatering! The meat is tender, the guacamole is fresh and the tacos just melt in your mouth. I am so happy I got to try this place; now I know why it was featured all the around the Internet.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 29, 2019
Some very tasty tacos!
Line can get very long but the wait is really not that bad. When we got there, the line was past the spices store and it only took us about 20 minutes to order and get our food so, worth the wait.
No tables or seats or anything like that.
I opted for the cheese shell tacos which is very good and isn't listed on the menu. I also thought that just for changing the type of shell, the price changed a lot. Would still come back and probably just get one as they are fairly heavy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Francesca C.Manhattan, New York, NY03Dec 28, 2022

I've had a lot tacos in my time but none can compare to tacos from here. Aside from their sauces and well-seasoned meats, I think it's the tortillas that really elevates the tacos. They're cooked fresh and so light it compliments the meat perfectly! My favorite are the chicken tacos with the four tortillas but you can also choose from corn tortillas and various types of meat or quesadillas. It's also a fun area as it's located right in the Chelsea Market. In regards to covid, you cannot eat inside the market but there's plenty of space outside allocated for people to sit and eat. 2 tacos are very filling but after I left I wish I had gotten 3
