I’m not really drawing Jorge Campos here, am I? I’m drawing the jersey. This is the iconic element in this equation, except wait, no it’s not. Although the jersey is amazing and iconic, it’s not the most interesting thing.
This is…
…Jorge Campos designed this jersey.
Plus as a five foot six goalkeeper, he scored thirty four goals in his career. This is due to the fact late in games he would switch to striker and usually have an impact. Creativity is useful in every arena.
As an artist who draws athletes I’m generally drawn to the eccentric ones, Campos definitely fits in with this crowd. I initially thought the jersey was the star, but it was the creativity of the man wearing it all along.
