This was a present for our eldest granddaughter on her 14th birthday. She has an iPhone, a laptop, she can order things (with parental approval) on her phone. How do you find something that's "cool" that your teen hasn't already seen before? I had a hunch this item would fit the bill when I saw it and I was right. She really digs this gadget. It's hard to compete with Instagram and all the other things she's got vying for her attention. It was really nice to find something not connected to the internet that she could appreciate.

I purchased this for my niece because I knew she would enjoy having the rainbows in her dorm room, but once I received it I learned just how cool it really is, and now I want to give them to everyone. I opened the box to see what was inside before wrapping and was immediately transfixed - the moment that the mini solar panel receives sunlight, the mechanism turns on and you can actually see all of the little gears moving! It's adorable but also really cool for those of us who like to learn how things work!

We visited YoYo Loco two years ago on a trip to Breckenridge CO. We purchased a sun-powered rainbow maker.Last year we bought another rainbow maker from a big box store on line. When it arrived it was loose in a box way too large, without any care in packing this crystal item. This year we wanted to get another one as a gift, and two more for us. We didn't see the rainbow makers on the YoYo Loco website so we contacted Mark to see if he still had them in the store. Are we GLAD we did. Mark set up a special purchase so we could pay through the website for our purchase. And then, in absolute record time we had our three rainbow makers in hand - each had been lovingly packed (with extra padding), and carefully sent via 2 day FedEX service. And, we paid exactly the same price we would have if ordered from the Big Box seller -- only this Small Business -- YoYo Loco -- could teach that big box seller a thing or two about great customer service. We will buy here again.... and will stop in to personally thank Mark for his exceptional care and attention and to see what other amazing goodies he has in the YoYo Loco store in Breckenridge Colorado. This was ordered to replace a similar item that we have had for years. Unfortunately, it fell off our window and broke--so--for this one, I attached it with selotape as well as the suction tube. So lovely to have the rainbows dancing around our living room again when the sun is out (-;
