There's a download link for the MYOS13 firmware for the phone. I haven't tried yet, but the site seems to be the official one.

The last update from this phone was Dec 2022, and it still has bugs here and there. It seems that they don't have any plans to update this to MyOS13 anymore, and their forcing you to buy their next gen phone by flashing notification ads using the built-in browser.
As much as possible, stay away from ZTE phones (ZTE, nubia and redmagic) as it seems to be a trend to abandon software support on their phone after 6 months (or when the next generation of their phone comes in). Also had the same experience on my Redmagic 5G years ago

Also, in terms of audio, it's using DTS. It loud and clear, but if you have already experienced Dolby Audio on other devices, Dolby Audio has more "oomph" and clarity.
On a crowded area, I certainly can hear more on the Lenovo Legion Y70 (which has a Dolby Audio) than the DTS on the Z40S pro. Also, I can barely hear the difference when DTS is on or off.
UI is quite customizable but you have limited themes. There are more themes on the store, but all of them costs 1RMB to get.

i was ... moreWhen I ordered it, it was sealed. But somehow, when I opened the phone, its like already when through initial setup from the factory, with an installed Google Play Store.
It doesn't have the "PRESS POWER KEY TO PAUSE BOOT" error which you usually receive when a phone from China is forcefully flashed with a "Global" ROM. The bootloader is locked when it arrived. I'm presuming that the phone is on China ROM, but was manually installed with Google Play services through nubia's App Center.

Got the 80W / 12GB / 256 GB
If you're buying this phone:
-it's pretty fast, been playing Genshin Impact for several hours on high settings
-camera's good, 35mm standard lens camera has a good amount of zoom/bokeh balance. Even the ultrawide is great!
-They also have this "VLOG" camera mode that I thought was exclusive to Xiaomi/POCO
-If you're familiar with redmagic phones, it has a GameSpace mode. But unlike redmagic phones, you can only change the performance settings based on priority, like GPU turbo, CPU turbo or both. It doesn't have the more advanced settings (i.e. Macro, on screen crosshair,), nor the ability to show the GPU/CPU usage
-if you'll use this for productivity, it's not seen as a "rooted" phone by Company Assistant/Outlook/Teams, unlike my old redmagic phone
Annoying things:
-the Z-Assistant AI quite is quite annoying. I know it's for security, but yeah if you've just installed an app (let's say FB messenger) it will send you a notif that it's on the background and consuming power, constantly accessing storage, etc
-Some apps will not run because Z-Assistant is running, unless you do a manual control on the permission settings. Some will definitely not run at all (like Youtube Vanced) even if you allow everything.
-There's a dedicated Nubia security keyboard for passwords (i.e. login passwords, wifi passwords etc). Doesnt have auto lowercase after the first letter. The shift key functions like a capslock.
-the 35mm lens is quite hard to use on close subjects. Also, sometimes the 1x zoom doesn't allow the us of camera flash. You can only turn on the flash after 1.4x zoom. This occurs on quite close subjects, like if you're taking pictures of your food on the table.
-Included case covers the back and the corners of the phone, but not the sides. Already have a bit of scratch on the frame near the power button as I accidentally put coins in my pocket with my phone. Buy a case if you're ordering this phone.
-the telephoto lens is just a gimmick tbh, I barely use the lens haha. It has 30X zoom but you can only use it if you have reaaaaaaaaaaally steady hands.
-no desktop mode unlike Lenovo Legion phones
-THE RECENT UPDATE somehow had a critical effect on Genshin Impact, it's like when you visit a location that you already visited (like Akademiya teleport location in Sumeru) for the first time, it will fps drop. But when you teleport to another location, and go back to the Akademiya teleport location, it goes buttery smooth. They released an update today that "resolves performance issues on certain apps", but I'm yet to test it.
