I got this phone on Amazon when it was released in 2010, and it supposed to be unlocked...but NO!!...So, I still have it somewhere in home, never used....LOCked and apparently, there is no way to unlock it...anyone in here knows how to unlock it...it would probably make a great back up GPS and phone for my car....

b dawg , 28 Mar 2016How have you managed to update the maps? Download Garmin MapUpdater v3.3.4, connect your A50 via USB and the map update starts automatically. I just performed an update via a new laptop today.

Is it using a world map?Correct, it doesn't download while navigating (unless you want current trafic updates and such, ofc) and the entire map is a fully featured Garmin-map. Furthermore it comes (well came) with a lifetime-update on maps, and it's still available. I'm currently updating the map on mine :)

THIs phone is useless.. google play stoore carries the best app but i cant download nor recieve google play store..The market is crap

cant play video that was uploaded on it . ya got to use mx player first before ya can play vids// (sounds and audio is delayed 3-5 seconds always)
need to get es file explorer for you to locate everything .
this sucks .
i used mine for almost 4 yrs now and i still have it . im just keepin it as a memento .
btw im from the ph and i got a replacement battery at cartimar mga brad .

i have garmin asus nivifone a50
and there is a problem
after doing master reset, it shown :
please close the the battery cover, and restart the device to complete first-time setup
whether i have closed the battery cover
and also i have try to tap the restart but it still shown like that
how could i solve this problem?
