Celebrities and Former Playmates Pay Tribute to Hugh Hefner

Hugh Hefner passed away yesterday at 91 years old. In his illustrious six-decade career, he encountered most corners of the entertainment industry and was known to have invited stars and models alike to his infamous Playboy Mansion. This is not to mention the stars and playmates who graced the covers of Playboy magazine during his reign.

Many have reacted swiftly to this news, and heartfelt tributes quickly spread across social media.

Paris Hilton posted photos of the pair together, calling Hefner a “legend,” “innovator,” and “one of a kind.”

Kim Kardashian West posted her own tribute to Hefner on Twitter. Kardashian West, who posed for the magazine in 2007, remarked how honored she is to have been part of the team.

Kardashian West also revealed that she spent much of early Thursday morning texting with Hilton to commemorate the media icon.

Larry King remarked on Hefner’s achievements outside journalism, including his activism on free speech and civil rights.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford honored Hefner with her own Playboy cover, published in July 1988.

Actress, model, and former Playmate Jenny McCarthy said, “I hope I made you proud.”

Nancy Sinatra called Hefner “one of the nicest men I’ve ever known.”

Rob Lowe remembered the “great conversations” he’d had with Hefner.

Pamela Anderson, perhaps one of the most iconic Playmates in history, posted an emotional video on Instagram. “Outside of my family you were the most important person in my life,” she wrote.
