Twilight Cast: Where are they now? – From cheating scandals and big blockbusters to new babies and music careers
NETFLIX recently surprised Twihards (or Twilight superfans) by adding the entire movie saga to its library for the first time since the original film was released in 2008.
And fans are once again becoming obsessed, binging on the movies and discovering new details they missed the first time around. Here's the cast now and what they have been up to since starting a very loyal fan base:
Kristen Stewart
Role: Bella Swan
Back in 2008, Kristen Stewart took on the role of awkward Bella Swan, the main character of the saga.
At the time, the actress had appeared in TV movies such as Speak and Zathura: A Space Adventure.
Kristen quickly adapted to a role and delighted fans when she began dating her co-star Robert Pattison.
The two started dating in 2009 and even got engaged, but sadly, they broke things off after Kristen was photographed with a director, sparking cheating rumors.
Since her Twilight days, the 31-year-old has appeared in movies such as Charlie's Angels, Happiest Season, and Equals.
She will also be starring as Princess Diana in the movie Spencer, which is set to come out in September 2021.
She also came out as queer and has dated Stella Maxwell.
Robert Pattinson
Role: Edward Cullen
Starring alongside Kristen was Robert Pattinson, who played Edward Cullen, after he got his break in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire as Cedric Diggory.
Sadly, the now 35-year-old actor hated his character towards the end of the franchise, making it known in interviews and appearances.
After his relationship with Kristen, he was rumored to have dated Katy Perry, was engaged to FKA Twigs in 2015, and then Suki Waterhouse.
As for his career, Twilight was just the beginning with the character opening plenty of Hollywood doors.
He appeared in Remember Me in 2010, Water for Elephants in 2011, The Lighthouse in 2019, Tenet in 2020, and will be doing The Batman in 2022.
Taylor Lautner
Role: Jacob Black
Completing the infamous love triangle was Taylor Lautner who played Jacob Black.
The 29-year-old had appeared in more lowkey roles in movies like Cheaper By The Dozen 2 and The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl before taking over his breakthrough role.
Taylor was only meant to appear in the first installment of the franchise as his character evolved from a scrawny kid to almost a body-builder.
The actor wanted to show just how committed he was to the role and he quickly put on some muscle, shocking both the cast and fans.
Sadly, Taylor did not reach the same level of stardom in other movies, such as Abduction and Growns Up 2 alongside Adam Sandler and Chris Rock.
Most famously, Taylor dated another Taylor, Swift that is. The Taylor squared couple was together for a little less than a year but their relationship left a mark on the singer as she has dedicated a few songs to him.
He also dated actress Billie Lourd in 2016 and has been dating a non-celebrity for the last three years.
The actor has taken a step back from the limelight in recent years and now resides with his family.
Peter Facinelli
Role: Carlisle Cullen
Taking over the role of the first vampire within the family was Peter Facinelli, who portrayed Dr. Cullen.
Deemed as a 90s heartthrob, the actor had appeared in movies such as An Unfinished Affair, alongside who would become his wife Jennie Garth, and Can't Hardly Wait, alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt.
He famously appeared as Dr. Fitch Cooper in Nurse Jackie.
The 47-year-old actor married Jennie Garth in 2001 and the two had three kids.
In 2012, the actor filed for divorce from the Beverly Hills 90210 actress, which was finalized in 2013.
He then began dating actress Jaimie Alexander in 2012 and the two got engaged three years later.
Sadly, they ended things in 2016 and he moved on once more in 2020 with Lily Anne Harrison.
Anna Kendrick
Role: Jessica Stanley
Another actor who absolutely hated the role in Twilight was Anna Kendrick, who played Jessica Stanley, one of Bella's human friends.
Despite being part of the franchise for the five installments, the 35-year-old actress continuously jokes she forgets having a role in it.
However, it was Twilight that opened the doors for Anna as she then appeared in What To Expect When You're Expecting, Pitch Perfect, Into the Woods, and A Simple Favor.
She also kicked off a singing career as many of her movies required her to perform in front of a crowd.
Despite keeping her personal life out of the light, Anna has been dating 45-year-old British cinematographer Ben Richardson since 2014.
Christian Serratos
Role: Angela Weber
Christian Serratos, 30, played shy Angela Weber and was a very close friend of Bella in the movies.
Despite this being a relatively small opportunity, Christian then moved on to bigger things and had a long-standing role in The Walking Dead as Rosita Espinosa.
Most recently, she starred on the Netflix original show, Selena: The Series.
Speaking to EW, she said about Selena: "When I was younger, I remember hearing her music in the house.
"When I got older, YouTube became a big thing and I discovered this video of her performing 'Que Creias.'
"Whenever I would talk about Selena, that was the video I showed every one of her.
"I was able to perform that song on the show, and I was so nervous and so excited!
Elizabeth Reaser
Role: Esme Cullen
Before her big role in Twilight, Elizabeth Reaser, 46, had established herself as a consistent TV show actress.
Most famously, she was Rebecca Pope in Grey's Anatomy, a woman who falls in love with Dr. Alex Karev.
Following her role in Twilight, she took on the role of Shirley in Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House and Olivia in The Handmaid's Tale alongside Elizabeth Moss.
Due to Elizabeth being a very private person, it's unknown whether she's married or if she's in a relationship with someone.
Kellan Lutz
Role: Emmett Cullen
Before playing Emmett, Kellan Lutz was a fairly small actor who only appeared in one-off episodes of shows like 30 Rock and Heroes, and music videos for Hillary Duff and the band Hinder.
However, Twilight was his big break as he then appeared in the movie The Expendables 3, Prom Night, and the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street.
The 36-year-old is also currently filming the 2022 film Come Out Fighting.
Back in February 2020, Kellan welcomed his first daughter with his wife Brittany Gonzales after a tragic miscarriage.
The pair announced in November 2019 that they were expecting their first child together, but unfortunately, three months later Brittany and Kellan lost their baby girl.
Then in September, the pair shared the happy news that they were once again pregnant in an Instagram video, with Brittany showing off her small baby bump and thanking fans for their prayers.
Kellan and Brittany secretly tied the knot in 2017, a month after announcing their engagement.
Nikki Reed
Role: Rosalie Cullen
One of the most controversial castings of the movie was Nikki Reed who played Rosalie, who was meant to be a blonde, intimidating bombshell.
Many fans of the franchise were doubtful she could do the role properly but were pleasantly surprised as she nailed it.
Before Twilight, Nikki had already been a successful actress and producer with the movie Thirteen, a script she wrote about her own teenage years.
The 33-year-old acted alongside a young Evan Rachel Wood.
She also starred in the raunchy movie, Mini's First Time, and had a recurring role in The OC.
Following her involvement in Twilight, Nikki opted to film more indie movies and focus on her family after she married Vampire Diaries' actor Ian Somerhalder.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, welcomed daughter Bodhi Soleil.
Ashley Greene
Role: Alice Cullen
Ashley Greene, 34, landed her role in Twilight after just three years of acting and quickly found a strong fan base as she embodied the role of Alice.
Ironically, following her role as Kellan Lutz's sister, the two played romantic interests in the movie A Warrior's Heart, which actually had fans wondering if they were together behind the cameras as well.
Since her role, she has appeared in multiple TV shows and movies and is currently expecting to start in three more movies set to come out between 2021 and 2023.
Despite her chemistry with Kellan, she ended up marrying Paul Khoury in 2018 after dating for five years.
Jackson Rathbone
Role: Jasper Cullen
Before taking over the role of Jasper in 2008, Jackson had appeared in shows such as Disney 411 where he interviewed Hillary Duff and was the leading role for the show Beautiful People.
But in 2010, the 36-year-old actor fell on bad terms with critics who slammed him for being cast as an Inuit character while being white.
While being an actor, Jackson juggled a career in music as he was the leading singer for 100 Monkeys.
Sadly, after 2014, Jackson has retired from the limelight and is busy raising his three children with his wife Sheila Hafsadi.
The same year, Jackson and three other people were in a Jetblue flight when the entire exploded.
Fortunately, they all survived after the plane made an emergency landing.

Billy Burke
Role: Charlie Swan
Fan-favorite Billy Burke, 54, took over the role of Bella's father, Charlie Swan.
Before his role in Twilight, he appeared in plenty of shows such as Gilmore Girls, Star Trek, Monk, and The Closer.
He also appeared in movies like Feast of Love alongside Selma Blair and Morgan Freman.
Similar to Jackson Rathbone, Billy also pursued a career in music after Twilight and has released two albums throughout the years.
