The Orlando Magic have fired the emerging Bol Bol, a media star and a favorite of the Amway Center crowd on whom they have decided not to exercise the option to extend his contract for one more season in exchange for 2.2 million dollars.

The Magic did extend the contracts of Gary Harris and Markelle Fultz.

Bol Bol put his injury problems behind him to impress the NBA

Bol Bol, who is 23 years old and had played just 53 games (328 total minutes) in his first three NBA seasons, has put his injury problems behind him and this season averaged 9.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 21.5 minutes in 70 games for Orlando, 33 of them starts.

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks are two of the teams that could show interest in signing the son of the legendary Manute Bol.

Bol Bol was selected by the Miami Heat with the No.44 pick in the 2019 Draft, later moving on to Denver Nuggets, Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic.

In the NBA, he has shown that he has talent and physical conditions to spare to bring the ball up like a point guard and run the court like a small forward despite his 2.18m. height, 2.34m. wingspan with barely 100 kilos of weight.

"Bol Bol is a monster. No one has ever seen anyone play like that," Terrence Ross said of him.
